FROM THE START
AT THE CORE OF OUR PLANNING
Sustainability.........Right from the beginning, sustainability and environmental protection has been at the core of our planning of Bwindi Foundation.
We have bought a field especially to grow vegetables and fruit crops for children’s meals, also fitted solar panels on our school buildings and dormitories and have recently built two eco-toilets blocks too.
Built close to the World heritage site of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, it is important that the children learn about protecting this amazing place, not just for the water catchment benefits, but for it’s unique wildlife too, including the famous Mountain Gorillas.
